Creative Mission

COMPREHENSIVE CREATIVE CREATIVITY

Our "Creative Mission" is to foster a rich, interdisciplinary dialogue that will convey and forge new tools and applications for creative, critical and philosophical thinking; engaging the world in the process. Through workshops, tutorials and social media platforms we also strive to entertain, educate and empower people - from individuals, to businesses, governments or not-for-profit groups; we aim to guide them in building a base of constructive ideas, skills and a Brain Fit paradigm - thereby setting the stage for a sustainable, healthy, and creative approach and lifestyle . These synthesized strategic "Critical Success Factors" - can then give rise to applied long-term life or business - Operating Living Advantages and Benefits.

And, at the same time, we encourage Charlie Monger's key attitude and belief - for and with all of whom we reach - " develop into a lifelong self-learner through voracious reading; cultivate curiosity and strive to become a little wiser (and more grateful)* everyday."

Thanks For All Your Support

What an incredibly amazing year, as growth figures exceeded our wildest-ever imaginations. Back in July the readership was just standing at 13,940, which means growth in the first 12 month exceeded 235,000. Amazing! Calculating the percentage growth for the year provides extraordinary figures - exceeding 2,000%.

But numbers aside, the year was also marked by many other achievements, notably the launch of the Picasso Creative Writing (PCW) Hall of Fame, Key Life Success Factors (#KLSF) and #BrainCare that are all unique and important platforms under our banner. We remain very excited about the future of these endeavors as they will shape the course of our enterprises and seek to provide untold benefits and insights to all of our readers, followers and strategic partners.

Looking to the coming year, there are a number of key initiatives in the works, but there is one creative global project we are very enthusiastic about involving a number of strategic partners that will work together to produce an unprecedented literary event in the next 12 months. The end result, could change, or at least add a new dimension to how we create stories on a world-wide basis. Stay tuned for more updates on this profound literary adventure.

Lastly, we express are appreciation to everyone who follows, supports and reads this blog of curated articles and videos, and its related mediums. Over a typical month we read hundreds of articles; plus books, to find those that add to the goal of building the concepts and philosophies that are PCW's  foundations for sustainable - "Comprehensive Creative Creativity." There is much work to be done in the years ahead, but the cause is a great endeavor and we believe it may ultimately have many benefits to all areas of human concern in the realms of art, science and philosophy.

IDEAS Applied: Creative Block? Then Start Having Fun And Juxtapose Absurdities!

"Sustainable creativity is nurtured and created  from rigorous Brain Care, regular practice and mental frameworks that are somewhat  childish, yet in many ways emulate the innate absurdities often created and experienced during REM  (dream) sleep - where playful insanity has it own rational universe that makes complete uncommon sense"

BREAK YOUR CREATIVE BLOCKS BY JUXTAPOSING ABSURDITIES

By Nouvo Picasso, June  2019

In addition to facilitating and teaching the Picasso Creative Writing Method I will often attend other Creative Writing Groups to explore, learn and practice creativity, creative writing and discover new creative mental models; and most particularly, to apply and test concepts related to - "Juxtaposing Absurdities."  A few days ago, I attended such a group with 14 other Creatives and students at a classroom in Toronto.

BrainCare: Pot Could Have Very Serious Impact On Long-Term Brain Health

"Addiction is real. It's a slow downhill kind of thing … it takes some years to get to that low point, and years to slowly build yourself back up,” said Warner. “Recovery isn’t easy, even for a guy like me..."

Chronic pot use may have serious effects on the brain, experts say

 By Shamard Charles, M.D.

More research needs to be done to highlight the long-term effects of marijuana use on the brain, body and our behavior, experts say.

As marijuana legalization builds momentum across the United States — with Michigan becoming the latest state to allow recreational use by adults — researchers are warning that more studies are needed on the long-term effects of chronic pot smoking on the human brain.

Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States, but little is known about its effect on health or how addictive it is.

KLSF: Six Most Important Areas Of Lifegevity

"Changing your habits to improve your well-being is not easy. Habits are continually reinforced in our brains and breaking those connections in the brain is challenging. If you want to make improvements to your lifestyle, make one change at a time"

It’s well-being week, a time when we can reflect on mental, physical and spiritual health. Although wellness has received more attention in recent years, there is still more we can do to raise awareness and acceptance for people who are suffering with mental or physical health issues.

In this blog, we will focus on six elements that impact well-being and, as a consequence, brain performance. Performance is directly associated with health: the poorer our health, the poorer our performance; the better our health, the better our performance. Therefore, improving these six elements will enhance wellbeing and performance at the same time.

Learn To Create Like Salvador Dali

How to conjure up dreamlike imagery from your subconscious.

By Michael Michalko

In the history of art, most people could easily argue that Salvador Dalí is the father of surrealistic art. Surrealism is the art of writing or painting unreal or unpredictable works of art using the images or words from an imaginary world. Dali's art is the definition of surrealism. Throughout his art he clearly elaborates on juxtaposition (putting similar images near each other), the disposition (changing the shape of an object), and morphing of objects, ranging from melted objects dripping, to crutches holding distorted figures, to women with heads of bouquets of flowers.

Write A Novel In Under 20 Minutes, Plus 15 Steps

"While it’s true that all stories have a beginning, a middle, and an end, you can drastically change how readers perceive your novel by altering how you structure your story"

How to Write a Novel in 15 Steps

Much like learning to ride a bike, the best way to learn how to write a novel is by just doing it. Unlike saddling up on a Schwinn for the first time, however, writing a novel can’t be accomplished in one hot summer’s day. It requires good doses of commitment and perseverance. As Octavia Butler put it: “You don’t start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking it’s good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it. That’s why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.”

    Inspirations of passions

Make your interests gradually wider and more impersonal, until bit by bit the walls of the ego recede, and your life becomes increasingly merged in the universal life. An individual human existence should be like a river — small at first, narrowly contained within its banks, and rushing passionately past rocks and over waterfalls. Gradually the river grows wider, the banks recede, the waters flow more quietly, and in the end, without any visible break, they become merged in the sea, and painlessly lose their individual being.
